When he makes contact with the water, release your jump and move into his body. When you see him start to move down and do his slam, go down into the water and move underneath him (just off center of where the bullets spawn).

There's safe spot underneath him! just sit there and get your free shots. When you see him fly to the front, move to up there with him. Hopefully this makes sense and helps some people out!įly to the front, fish drop and squid swim Glocktopus has 6 moves in his first phase, I've listed my strategies for them below.
You are NOT invincible when you are holding your jump, diving into the water. While on the jet ski, you get IFrames once you've released your jump and are ascending through the water/air. It still requires a decent amount of hearts since ive only fought that boss like 10 times or so, but it worked out well enough for me to beat the first phase when it was jammed so i hope it helps you a bit. After you dived down move towards the boss (still dodging the bubbles) and jump through the laser, then repeat for the rest of the attack duration. Again stay on the opposite side from the boss dive while dodging the bullets. Then for the last attack im aware of: the laser beam. Tho i still get hit once or twice on that attack too so idk if that is really the correct strat for that attack. What i usually do there is move to the opposite side he is while diving and then jumping through the bullets. Then he has an attack where he flies from right to left and left to right and spawns a bunch of bullets. Its again just something you need to learn the timing for when to dive and when to jump (another attack i still get hit usually once or twice at).įor the doritos+circles attack: stay as far left as you can when the bullets come close dive underwater then jump out of the water and move a bit forward and try to land in a gap between bullets, then repeat diving and jumping out while moving a bit to land between gaps. The same goes for the attack where he spawns a bunch of fish that jump on the water and a torpedo that is underwater.

When he gets in front of you and starts spawning a circle bullet pattern you need to learn how to time your dive into a jump while also moveing forward through the rings while you have i frames (i still get hit on that attack so thats the best advice i can give). I dont know how many attacks the boss has, but here is what i do for some of the attacks.įor most of his attacks its the best to stay pretty far on the left side of the screen from my experience with the boss. Now after that is a second phase but luckily it is sooooooooooooooooooo much easier thanks to fact that you get off the jet ski so i think you could handle it yourself.Īnyway my fingers are getting tired but i do hope this help in someway or another, and one last piece of advice is to try to get good at the main floor bosses to the point were you can do them hitless so you can acquire more health upgrades as they help a lot. Though a tip that took me a while to get the hang of is the fact you only have i frames when you are airborne so keep trying to constantly jump. Now for the first phase most of his attacks will probably hit you at least once because of the weird dodging mechanics on the jet ski. I feel bad that no one has offered advice yet so i will recall what usually happens when i fight, keep in mind that am definitely not a "pro gamer" and i have only beaten him a couple of time.įor starters i would highly recommend getting health upgrades like master rounds or other items in that category because this fight has points in it that seem almost impossible to dodge, secondly try to save as much blanks as you can during the dragon fight because they do not refresh.
